A New "Green" Auto Insurance Innovation
Gales Creek Insurance Services (GCIS) is an innovator of insurance products, and the pay as you
drive concept is one new way to reduce the negative effects of global warming. This insurance concept
will reduce auto emissions and reward conscientious consumers by lowering their insurance premium.
At GCIS we believe this is a better way to buy auto insurance; it provides an economic incentive to do
the right thing.

In 2003, GCIS testified before the Oregon Legislature to pass legislation that encouraged pilot projects for pay by the mile insurance programs that rewarded insurers with tax credits - this and other economic incentives are now coming to fruition and we’re asking you to participate.

Premium savings represent the reduction in insurance costs that are realized by insureds who reduce their driving (7500 miles or less per vehicle on average, and on vehicles 1996 and newer). |

Such a switch might reduce annual gas consumption by as much as 10 percent without raising the cost of insurance for an average driver.
