Membership Insurance Program

IBMA and Gales Creek Insurance services have designed an affordable and easy to use special events insurance program for all IBMA members from small concerts to large festivals.

IBMA estimates that members who utilize this program can see savings of 30%-50% from past event premiums.

Staff at Gales Creek Insurance Services are very excited to be part of this program and to be serving members' needs.

How does the Program Work?

1. Please print and complete the IBMA Special Events Insurance Application. The rates are listed on the application.
2. Send the application to our Special Events Department, with a copy of the insurance section of your facility contract and your payment. If additional information is needed we will contact you within 48 hours.
3. Certificates, evidencing coverage, will be sent to you and any additional insureds within 48 hours.

Important information regarding this program:

• IBMA’s Policy limits are:
  • $2,000,000 General Aggregate**
  • $1,000,000 Products and Completed operation
  • $1,000,000 Personal and Advertising Injury
  • $1,000,000 Each Occurrence
  • $ 300,000 Fire damage limit
  • Excluded No Fault Medical Payments

**Please note that above General Aggregate Limit is not per Event, but is a shared association limit for all events.

• The program includes coverage for:
  • Additional insureds: Lessors, Sponsors
  • Volunteers as insureds
  • Non Owned and Hired Auto Liability Coverage
  • Damage to Premises Rented to you
• Major Program Exclusions:
  • Assault and Battery
  • Abuse and Molestation
  • Total Fireworks Display/pyrotechnics
  • Commercial liquor liability
  • Collapse of Temporary structures (I.E stages, bleachers, Etc).

OTHER COVERAGES AVAILIBLE

• Accident Medical Coverage for Volunteers
  • Insurance coverage for accidental injuries your volunteers may incur while assisting at your event.
• Weather Insurance
  • Insurance coverage for rain, snow, wind, high temperatures, etc., resulting in low attendance or cancellation of your event.
• Cancellation insurance
  • Insurance coverage for your event if it is cancelled due to a terrorism threat, adverse weather, etc.
• Non-Appearance/Abandonment Insurance
  • Insurance coverage that offers coverage if your key speaker or performer does not show and your event is either cancelled or ticket sales need to be returned to event attendees.
• Commercial Liquor Liability
  • Insurance coverage for events where event holder is selling alcoholic beverages.
