About Gales Creek Insurance Services

Gales Creek Insurance Services has just celebrated our 30th anniversary as an innovator of insurance coverages and programs for special events, concerts, film & entertainment clients, associations, non-profit groups, organic grocers and other creative ventures. The organization was founded by Jeffrey Lang and Margaret Payton in 1980.

Both principals came from a heavy commercial insurance background where they had specialized in affinity groups/niches, and asssociation insurance products including workers compensation and group employee benefits, as well as property/casualty insurance.

Gales Creek Insurance Services now specializes in insurance for entertainment industry accounts, film production companies, environmental groups, non-profit organizations, natural food grocers, certifiers of organic products and associations in need of membership insurance programs - in addition, of course, to general commercial business insurance of all kinds. Our mission is to create a client-driven company where service and specialized knowledge for specific client groups is paramount.

Listening to our clients, understanding their problems and developing innovative insurance solutions is what drives Gales Creek Insurance Services.

The namesake for our business is Gales Creek, a small stream in rural northwestern Oregon, in the middle of vineyards, oak forests and rolling hills. Our offices are located in the historic Union Station train depot in downtown Portland.
