Key Personnel
Jeffrey Lang
Jeffrey Lang founded Gales Creek Insurance Services and
is the President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Lang has over 27 years
of experience in the insurance industry, starting at the tender age
of 17 as an office boy for Richard N. Goldman & Co. in San Francisco,
which is today the largest independent broker in Northern California.
From office boy, Jeff rose to claims assistant and account assistant,
finally culminating in a Trainee position at Bain-Dawes-Stephens &

It was here that Mr. Lang learned valuable lessons about
the insurance business from the rulers of the industry. In London, Mr.
Lang became one of the first Americans to hold a Lloyd's brokers card,
allowing him to enter the Lloyds Underwriting room, where he saw the trend
toward specialization and group underwriting in the industry. Returning
to the U.S., Mr. Lang received a Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, from
the University of California at Berkeley, in History and Business.
Mr. Lang held underwriting positions with United Pacific/Reliance,
WEST Insurance Managers and Insurance Service Company before founding
Gales Creek in 1980. He is our idea man, whose responsibilities include
design, innovation and implementation of new insurance programs for clients
in a variety of industries.
